| 300 | 300 Common Words is a vocabulary-learning course developed by Andrew D. Miles. It is based on research that suggests students remember words best when they write them repeatedly over a lengthy period of time. 300 Common Words teaches expressions by having them go through three stages. One is translation, where students become aware of the meaning; the second is explanation, where they place words in their natural context and learn how to use them in English; the third step is pronunciation, where students must recognise the sound of the terms.
