300 | 300 Common Words teaches expressions by getting you to write words several times. This helps translate vocabulary from the short- to the long-term memory. |
| Fill out the crosswords when you have some quiet minutes. It is better to do just one puzzle carefully than many without paying attention. |
Rest | Once you have completed the first five crosswords save the page, change activities and stop for a while. |
Relax | If you find a crossword particularly hard it is better to turn the computer off and leave it till tomorrow. If it's still too difficult, start from the beginning again. |
Listen | Some puzzles allow you to listen to the vocabulary. If you have speakers try and do this as much as possible so you get used to the way words sound. |
You can print the crosswords by clicking on the "Click here to print puzzle" link at the bottom of each page. | |
Slow! | Ideally, the course should be finished along several weeks so don't try to do everything in a hurry. Remember that faster is not always better. |
